meet THE LEHIGH VALLEY CELEBRANTS

donna forsythe

Owner, Lehigh Valley Celebrants

Donna began her career as a Celebrant in 2014. She had been an inner-city educator for 25 years when she took a sabbatical to earn her Masters in Leadership and Administration. That year Marriage Equality passed in PA and she officiated her first wedding, marrying two men in their 70s. This prompted her to go through the Humanist Society to become endorsed as a Humanist Celebrant.
Donna has since officiated hundreds of weddings and built a full-time award-winning celebrant business, Lehigh Valley Celebrants.

Donna's years as a teacher and particularly a librarian/storyteller have given her a great foundation for being a Celebrant. Her charge is to tell YOUR story!

Kiera

jordan

Fostering a warm and welcoming connection from the start, Kiera helps couples feel comfortable sharing their “origin stories” and journey as a couple, as well as their distinct personalities and uniqueness as individuals. Then, she weaves it all together to create a ceremony that makes each couple feel truly known.

Her varied skills gleaned from her experience as a teacher and performer meld perfectly in her role as Celebrant. As the Director of a local publication, she gets lots of practice listening to people in order to craft written pieces that accurately convey the character, goals, and wishes of their narrators.

Kiera takes great joy in truly getting to know the couples with whom she works—and she takes great pride in providing a meaningful, memorable experience for each and every one of them.

As a longtime lover of stories, Jordan has spent his life embracing the power of language to illuminate the everyday magic of human experiences. In his studies to become a professional writer, his deep dive into literature as a graduate student, his beloved work teaching writing, and even as a teacher in the garden, Jordan has sought out authentic human stories told beautifully–because few stories of fiction can match the magic of authentic human connection.

As a Humanist Celebrant, Jordan tells stories that are truer than true, capturing the splendor of love not through fiction but through the magical reality of your story. With teaching and tutoring experiences in K-12 and higher education, Jordan listens carefully when people tell him their stories and reflects each unique history and personality in his work.

Ultimately, the human experience is about love–love of one another, love of the world, love of our experiences–and Jordan crafts stories, rituals, and ceremonies that celebrate the binding experiences we all share on this earth and express the full, vivid richness of love.

laura

As a professional marketing communicator and writer, Laura has a talent for listening to what people say and translating it into exactly the message they want to express. She is an experienced presenter, detail-oriented event leader and a romantic at heart.

Laura believes that weddings and life celebrations should be warm and meaningful and reflect the individuals’ distinctive personalities and relationships.

She enjoys learning about clients’ stories and working with them to customize a ceremony that is truly theirs.

Her optimistic, accepting and confident demeanor allows clients to relax, enjoy and remember this significant event in their lives.

irene

Irene has been teaching French and Spanish for over twenty years in the public schools. Her passion for culture and language has taken her all over Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, Japan, Ecuador and the Caribbean. As she seeks to inspire her students with the beauty and gifts of each culture, she in turn uses her experiences to assist couples with integrating unique aspects into their ceremonies.

Irene is also the founder of the Allentown School District Foundation Latin Dance Competition. Students from the four middle schools of the Allentown School District learn to dance the major Latin dances from professional dance instructors and compete in a dazzling show.

As a Celebrant, Irene has especially enjoyed getting to know her couples and discovering how their unique personalities and relationships can be expressed in very personal and beautiful ways in a ceremony.

let us make your wedding dreams come true

'We received countless compliments about her and the beautiful love story she wrote and shared. I am certain that she touched every single person's heart at our wedding that day. We were absolutely honored to have her officiate our wedding and could not have asked for a more perfect day. She went above and beyond all of our expectations.'
